Profile

Enthusiastic graduate in Digital Animation with a Music Technology minor. This degree training has provided experience and confidence in both group and individual work environments. Possesses a positive attitude and the ability to adapt quickly and efficiently within new situations. Completion of National Maritime Museum work experience has inspired a proactive approach to learning and expanding the skill set, in addition to encouraging a firm belief in learning by doing. Now has a desire to evolve within the design for digital and print discipline, taking skills learned from degree and professional experience forward, to inspire and enhance future projects.

INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES

Design and advertising has always been a strong interest of mine and I enjoy drawing inspiration from subscriptions to magazines such as Photoshop Creative, Frieze and Creative Review. I am also a believer in getting stimulation and motivation from all situations and experiences.

My interest in many types of music since a young age inspired me to learn bass guitar which I continue to play professionally in several bands for events such as parties and weddings.

Having a passion for traveling and foreign culture motivated me to plan and organize a three-week road trip through France, Spain and Portugal during the summer of 2008. This experience expanded my knowledge and understanding of other cultures as well as developing my organizational skills.

Experience

Fitzrovia Youth in Action 

August 09 - Nov 09

· Employed at this charity I worked as part of a two man team

· Responsibilities included designing and creating page backgrounds and how the text would be arranged within the magazine

· Used my knowledge of Adobe After Effects to create video edits of events that had been organized by the charity as well as video viral adverts to go online in order to promote the magazine

· Committing to more than just working for the charity I attended activates arranged by them in order to ensure the final magazine would defiantly be appealing to the target audience

National Maritime Museum  

August 08

· Worked in IT support and the in house design studio

· Created several items including an exhibition guide for the visually impaired, school learning outcome sheets and a leaflet to be taken to external tourist trade fayres

· This role both fueled and expanded my strong design skills.

· My ability to take advice open-mindedly from other team members was encouraged along with my own opinions being expressed on others work allowing for the best informed the final design

Training Them Live

August 06 & 07

· Teaching groups and individuals how to play bass guitar, managing a band, helping in song writing for a live performance on stage and generally supervising the young people

· My leadership abilities really emerged

Freelance Work

Sept 04 – Jan 2010

· I have been recruited for several pieces of freelance design work, including business cards, flyers, posters, logo and web design for a variety of clients which includes Diageo, Exchange and Asian Urban Music magazine

· I effectively coordinate a demanding work schedule which included degree responsibilities and this external employment, thus developing strong time management abilities

· I am now able to work confidently and effectively within strict brief and deadline requirements
