About me
Hi there my name is Seb I am a BA Music Technology Specialist graduate from Thames Valley University, I am currently look for work to help get a step up into to career in sound for film and TV.
My main interest is to work in audio postproduction, this interest started in my second year of university wile working audio post practical projects for the first time. It’s an area of soundproduction I feel my strengths really lie, an as such I chose to use it as the base of my final major project in my final year of university. In witch I worked on original material with independent production teams to help them achieve rounded an finished peaces of work.
I am particularly interested in sound design in both the sense of creating new sounds for a particular purposes and in the context of looking at the sound of a production as a hole to use it asway to not only support the narrative of film but enhancing it. But I also very much enjoy making music, I produce my own electronic music as well as work on compositions for animation and short film. I am passionate about sound for film and love the processes of bringing what is on screen to life by using a rang of deferent element such as music and sound design and how they can be
worked together in harmony with the on screen image to crated a round production.
My long turn plan is towards a career on as supervising sound editor/sound designer for film and or Audio Director in the game industry. But I am currently looking for work to help get a step into to audio post-production industry through working as a runner and then hopefully working my way upin a production house environment.
Experience
I have gained a rang of different skills and exprience from my time at university such as studio sound techniques in tracking/engineering, microphone technique, acoustics (room acoustics, room treatment), mixing, time management and organization.
I am well practiced in the use of Pro Tools for editing, recording and in the box mixing but have not had the financial funds to take any certified practical qualification in it, but I have been using it for the past 4 year and would say I’m confident with it. I am also well practiced in Logic Pro witch I use for music composition mainly but I am just as at home using it in a more audio driven platform in editing and recording.
I have some experience in working as a runner for audio postproduction from a short work experience placement at Hackenbacker Audio Post Production in Soho. This was a grate experience for me as I had the chance to get insight into the industry and
how it works and get some hands on experience to what a job as a runner initials.
