About me

My name is John Walton, a student of Leicesters' DeMontfort University. At present, I am studying for a BSc Hons degree in Media Production, and have already begun to learn the ropes of 2D animation, web design, photo manipulation, film production and film theory and history.

Before joining the University, I studied Media Studies for four years at Rawlins Community College, Quorn (two years at GCSE, and two at A Level). This was accompanied by two years of studying A Level Film Studies and four years of Fine Art. During my time at the college, I learned many techniques and practices of the industry, and discovered a love of post production work, particularly editing (I have become an avid supporter of the Kuleshov theory!).

In my spare time, I have made several small productions, including the internet series "Everyday Life" (Viewable below) and numerous experimentations with machinima (machine cinema, also viewable below). Currently, personal projects involve finishing the "Everyday Life" story, single handedly writing, filming and editing machinima short "Moonlight over Cretlin" and writing scripts for upcoming sitcom "Publish That!".
